Personal information collection
When you use the MintChip application, we may collect and use the following kinds of information about you and your use of the application:
- the email address you use to set up your MintChip account;
- the mobile phone number associated with your account;
- a unique device identifier;
- your mobile device type;
- your device’s operating system and specific version;
- your MintChip Contacts (email address and contact name);
- MintChip transaction details:
- Date, amount, merchant, recipient, etc…
We also securely store the following information about you, including:
- your name, address and date of birth;
- a Credit Card Token (which stores only the last four digits of your credit card number);
- your bank account Information.
Using personal information
nanoPay may use your personal information to top-up your MintChip account, complete peer-to-peer transactions, pay for goods and services at participating Merchants and to transfer funds into the bank account you have linked to your MintChip account.
We may also use your contact information to get in touch with you about questions or concerns we may have regarding your use of the MintChip application, suspicious activity involving your account or suspected fraudulent activity.
If you have given us consent to do so, we may contact you from time to time with offers relating to the MintChip application.
Where nanoPay discloses your personal information to its agents, sub-contractors or third parties for these purposes, those parties are required to use your personal information in accordance with the terms of this privacy statement.
In addition to the disclosures reasonably necessary for the purposes identified elsewhere above, nanoPay may disclose your personal information to the extent that it is required to do so by law, in connection with any legal proceedings or prospective legal proceedings, and in order to establish, exercise or defend its legal rights.
Securing your data
nanoPay will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
nanoPay will store all the personal information you provide on its secure servers.
Information relating to electronic transactions entered into via this website will be protected by encryption technology.
